How to Add an Accountant in QuickBooks Online
Step-by-Step Instructions

Once logged in, click the Gear icon in the upper right

Click "Manage users"

Click "Accounting firms"

Enter accountant's email address and click "Invite"

Done! Your accountant will receive an email inviting them to access your account.
Why is it important to add them as an accountant,
rather than a user?

It doesn't count against your user limit

It allows your accountant to use special tools to fix any tricky transactions

It makes it easier to collaborate, especially during tax season
